Lake Alfred Launches School Zone Speed Cameras, Demonstrating Our Commitment to Protecting Students and Improving Road Safety

In a major initiative to enhance the safety of children in our community, Lake Alfred is launching new school zone speed enforcement cameras. Starting Wednesday, November 20, 2024, these cameras will be operational, and citations will be issued to drivers who exceed the speed limit by more than 10 MPH in designated school zones. To ensure a smooth transition, there will be a 30-day warning period (excluding holidays) beginning November 20, 2024, and ending on January 12, 2025, during which violators will receive warnings instead of citations. This period aims to educate drivers and encourage compliance before enforcement begins.

  • 6:40 AM – 7:10 AM: Enforcing 35 MPH speed limit (46 MPH threshold for citations)
  • 7:11 AM – 8:10 AM: Enforcing 20 MPH speed limit (31 MPH threshold for citations)
  • 8:11 AM – 2:54 PM: Enforcing 35 MPH speed limit (46 MPH threshold for citations)
  • 2:55 PM – 3:24 PM: Enforcing 20 MPH speed limit (31 MPH threshold for citations)
  • 3:25 PM – 3:54 PM: Enforcing 35 MPH speed limit (46 MPH threshold for citations)

How do I pay the citation?

To pay online: You may view your citation images and pay your fine at onlinecitationpayment.com.

To pay by phone: Please call the Automated Enforcement Division Customer Service Call Center toll-free at (866) 271-1171 to pay by credit card 24/7. A representative will assist you with payments or questions between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, Monday – Friday.

To pay by mail: To pay the citation, mail the return coupon from your fine notice and a check or money order [NO CASH] payable to The City of Lake Alfred. To ensure proper processing, print the citation number on your payment. Send payment to: LAKE ALFRED, FL, PO BOX 750111, ATLANTA GA 30374-7911
