Mac Fuller was born in Bloomington, Illinois. When he was five years old, his family moved to South Florida. He remained in South Florida through high school until college took him to North Carolina where he completed his degree in Finance and Economics and Insurance. Upon graduation, he started his career in the insurance industry. The bulk of Mac's career, 36 years, was with State Farm Insurance. Mac had several work-related moves across the country, moving 10 times and visiting all 50 states more than once while he was a Senior Loss Control Representative with State Farm at their Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, IL. Early in his career, there were many opportunities for relocation to other territories in a new and growing Commercial Insurance Marketplace that interested Mac, and eager to grow with the company and the flexibility to relocate, his path took him from Greeley and Denver, CO to Billings, MT, Salem, OR, Winter Haven, FL, Miami, FL, Savannah, GA, Bloomington, IL, back to Winter Haven, FL, and finishing out his career in Dallas, TX. After 41 years in the industry, he retired in June 2018 and moved back to Florida in Lake Alfred which was an area with many State Farm friends and former associates.

Mac is married to Debbie and has one son, Keaton. While Keaton was in High School in Polk County, he attended Summerlin Military Academy, and Mac and Debbie both took on additional opportunities to assist the cadets and their families with Debbie becoming Treasurer and Mac, taking on the role of President of the Captain's Council.

Mac has a love for old cars and fire trucks and collectible memorabilia. He is a member and past president of the Central Florida Street Rod Association which is a 501-C3 organization that helps support various local Polk County charitable organizations. You may have seen Mac's 1937 Chevy Fire Truck around town in various car shows and parades.

Mac was a 20-plus year member and past president of the American Society of Safety Engineers, which is an organization that specializes in working with safety professionals in all fields and providing them opportunities to see how the practice of safe workspaces and the mitigation of future loss can be such an important tool used to keep loss experience for businesses as low as possible.

Mac served on the Lake Alfred Parks and Recreation Board. Many of the functions that the citizens of Lake Alfred and neighboring cities are organized and offered by the Parks and Recreation Department, offering family fun events that promote a healthy and happy lifestyle for our residents. They also provide many city parks to play in with activities and playground equipment provided by the city.

Mac is energetic and ready to serve the citizens of Lake Alfred and to support the needs of its police and fire departments, and those other departments that help Lake Alfred remain a recognizable and attractive area for healthy, affordable, and profitable growth of both housing and small business over the coming years.
