Community Development

The goal of the Community Development Department is to assist applicants with the building process and provide them the opportunity to complete their building goals and ideas within the community. This site is a part of an ongoing effort to make public information available quickly and easily to all who need the services and forms listed.

• Building Permits: responsible for the plan review, permitting, and inspection of all construction activity as well as the interpretation and development of code requirements relating to building, housing, and landscape improvements.
• Code Enforcement: designed to create a quality living environment through voluntary compliance to the housing, zoning, and property maintenance codes.
• Planning and Zoning - has a unique role within the organizational structure of City government. The Department's primary responsibility is that of guiding and directing the City's future growth while ensuring the preservation of its unique attributes.
